off the Edge
Mental, physical, and social situations have changed our inner and outer bodies.
Six individuals physicalize transformations of life through exhaustive reflection of the inner affecting the outer body and the outer affecting the inner body. Can we escape and avoid these situations, will we be forced to surrender and leave our previous life, or will we choose to transform and stay stuck due to fear?
With dancers and choreographer in collaboration, this process dedicated time to discovering intuitive sensations to stimulate raw movement.

While the minds strive to put pieces together of an unclear childhood memory, this collaborative duet faces obstacles in achieving clarification, and moreover, acceptance. Getting blown into the past, the physical energies of resistance, surrender, and desire are embodied through the individuals.
The dancers worked closely in collaboration with composer Michael Q D’Andrea to create movement and a sound score whose energies vibrated off one another.

Skims
This piece is centered around the concept of wrecking. In this wrecking process, I detracted concepts from a peer's senior choreography thesis to create my own creation.
